Sound Shapes the Void
A Sensory Cosmos
Nebula is Maicol Borghetti’s immersive exploration of sound and form, born in 2020 as a counterpoint to the bronze sculptures of Mythos & Protos. Electronic soundscapes, woven from the artist’s early experiments in photography and 3D design, merge with video projections and sculptural installations to conjure visionary landscapes. Often presented alongside Mythos & Protos in exhibitions, Nebula transforms galleries into portals to speculative worlds, where bronze, light, and sound collide in a fleeting alchemy.
An Interdisciplinary Dialogue
Each track of Nebula is a sonic artifact, paired with a video or installation that echoes the archeological futures of Borghetti’s sculptures. This multidisciplinary practice, rooted in the artist’s work since the early 2000s, invites viewers to inhabit the intersection of myth, technology, and human essence.
A Celebrated Vision
Nebula has captivated audiences at the Lu.C.C.A. – Lucca Center of Contemporary Art, the Archaeological Museum of Santa Scolastica in Bari, and the Villa Sormani in Missaglia, earning the Special Michelangelo Buonarroti Sculpture Award in Seravezza.
